The Adams Family
While on staff at a church in Orange, TX, Andrew and Risa felt stirred by God to pursue a deeper understanding of prayer and worship in 2011. A year later, after visiting IHOP KC and The Prayer Room DFW and studying the house of prayer movement, they started the Orange House of Prayer on January 1, 2013. They led prayer meetings and a weekly Encounter Service for 2 years before passing the ministry to a new leader and following God’s direction to spend a season working in foreign missions with the Assemblies of God in Heidelberg, Germany.
Upon returning to the U.S., God made it clear to them that they were to enroll in the spring 2017 Immerse Internship at The Prayer Room DFW. God used this short season to solidify the house of prayer DNA and core values in them while He stirred them to launch a house of prayer in Galveston, TX in the fall of 2017.
The Phillips Family
David and Emaley Phillips served as volunteers under Andrew and Risa at the same church in Orange, TX. They had a desire to see the next generation equipped with a love for God and a heart for prayer and worship, so they served in kid’s church and youth group teaching and leading worship teams for 10 years. This led to a staff position for Emaley in 2015. They were then married and began seeking after God’s direction as a family. In 2017, they were blessed with a little girl and felt led to start a new journey, specifically seeking after God’s heart and plan for them and hoping for opportunities to grow in ministry leadership. While they were unsure of what this new start would look like, they knew God was leading them away from their jobs and out of their comfort zones. When Andrew and Risa invited them to partner with them in starting The Reflection Center House of Prayer, they knew it was the perfect fit for the season God was leading them into. Opportunities for growth in leadership and pursuing a closer relationship with God are endless in the prayer room, and they now hope to share those opportunities with the Island community!
Are you called to the ministry of night and day prayer and worship? The Reflection Center will be staffed by full time missionaries. These Intercessory Missionaries along with a host of committed believers will together build night and day prayer and worship in Galveston, TX.
Please be in prayer with us that God would lead Christians in the Galveston area to join our community, anywhere from 1 prayer meeting a week to full time staff. And pray that not only He would lead them but that we would have divine appointments and contact with these people.
If that is you or someone you know, please use our Contact page to begin a conversation with us.
